Dear Charlie,
I just wanted to take a few minutes to document all the things you are doing right now, a few days before your 11 month birthday. Every day is such fun because you are always looking for something new to learn!
You are saying a bunch of words now, and you can understand even more than you can say. You can say: dog, clock, Jack, duck, quack, yum, uh-oh (except you just say the "uh" part). You also understand book, bite, light, outside, Dexter, mama, ball, and spoon. And you say "da-da" to mean all kinds of things, like bye-bye, night-night, and outside, as well as Daddy. You get very fired up to see your Aunt Jenny or cousin Max. You love to imitate noises and try to blow and whistle.
Your favorite toys are the letter L from your name puzzle, your Counting House book, your Taggie ball, and the plastic spoons. You also like the yellow block that quacks and your rubber ducky. Your favorite TV shows are Peek-A-Boo, Tilly Knock-Knock, and the acorn show. When you go outside, you love the cord that hangs down in the garage and any tree branches you can reach.
You wake up around 5 or 6 AM, usually happy and talking, and you take 2 good naps a day. We put you to bed around 7:30 PM after your bath. You still don't really like books, but we try to read to you a little each day anyway. There is just too much to explore, you can't just sit there and look at a book!
You are waking up now so I will stop this letter. We love to see you walking around the house and enjoying everything you are discovering right now. You bring us such joy!!!
