Ready for spring

We are starting to go stir-crazy in our household. Charlie is dying to get outside and it's just been too cold lately to do very much! Come on spring!! We are ready for play dates in the park!

Charlie's 4th tooth, the second one on top, finally broke through yesterday. He's been having a rough time lately. Last week he either had a stomach bug, or his system was just really messed up from the teeth, or some combination of both. He seems to be past the nasty part but he is still in some pain, has low-grade fever, runny stools, that kind of thing. He just doesn't feel great and he's not sleeping or eating very well because of it.

Charlie has also suddenly developed a Southern drawl. I have no idea how it came out of nowhere, but it's really cute! He used to say "ball" but now it's "baw-awl". "Baby" has become "Bayay-bee". And so on. He's definitely around others with accents alot, but it's strange that it just suddenly kicked in. Our little southern gentleman! (Here he is playing with a tape measure)

He is starting to really like Elmo. He will run to the TV if he hears him and at the bookstore the other day, he got very excited about the section of Elmo books. So now I have Elmo songs in my head all day long! But if he likes it, it's worth it. He is still very into The Wiggles as well and he loves to dance along with them.

Otherwise not a lot is going on. Charlie continues to figure out new and improved ways of getting into things he shouldn't. He has no fear--he will climb on anything. This does not bode well for the future. He has become obsessed with eating broccoli and bananas. At least it's healthy! He would eat gallons of pudding if we'd let him though. We are completely through with pacifiers and bottles now, but he still loves his "doggie" blanket and I'm sure he will have that for a long time to come.

Here are some pictures of him "loving" on Dexter (he says Dexter is SOFT), him calling the Hogs, getting ready to "help" clean the house with his mop, and also one of him looking at a picture of James and me (I was pregnant with Charlie at the time). He loves looking at pictures.
