Big Day

Yesterday was a big day! Charlie had his 4-month checkup, although he's 5 days shy of 4 months. He weighed 13 lbs 5 oz--that is 50th percentile according to docs and 21st percentile according to my online chart. Either way, it is great! He is 24 inches long.

He got his second round of shots and an oral rotavirus vaccine. He fussed a little more this time but still calmed pretty quickly and actually went to sleep soon after.

The big news is that the doc recommended that we start spoon-feeding him cereal. And then start veggies in another month. Woo-hoo! So...we tried it last night..enjoy the pics! He actually did pretty well and seemed to like it okay once he figured out how to swallow! A part of me just cannot believe we are already at the stage of feeding him!! We used a little silver spoon that had been mine as a baby.

Last night he slept OVER 8 hours--it was wonderful!! We took out the crib wedge thinking it was helping him move down in the crib, and that seemed to make a difference because he stayed near the top. Another woo-hoo for sleep!!!

We are proud of our big boy!
