If you have been following little Ethan's story, you know that today was a HUGE day for them. They had done a final round of chemo and today's bone marrow sample would tell them whether Ethan would be sent to hospice care to "live out his days" or whether he could have a stem cell transplant, giving him a new chance to beat his leukemia. The last bone marrow sample before today showed he was 58% infected.
Well guess what, folks, today's results showed 0% leukemia cells. NOTHING! Praise God!!! He had to be less than 5% in order to proceed with the stem cell transplant. So now they will move on quickly to that.
Obviously, he is not out of the woods by any means. But going into today, his parents were potentially facing the news that nothing more could be done for their little boy....and now they have new hope. Our prayers are working! They are calling this "Miracle Monday"!
