Rockin' and Rollin'

Charlie is getting closer and closer to being mobile. In some ways, he already is. Over the weekend, he learned how to roll from back to tummy (finally!). This means he can flip himself over at will now, which makes diaper changes and clothes changes much more interesting! We can already see...he is into EVERYTHING within reach...we are about to enter a whole new phase of our lives.

Last night he was sitting up on the couch, facing James. All of a sudden he leaned forward, grabbed James' leg, and just pulled up into a standing position. Just like that! I said, "Did he really just do that?" Then he did it again! Then, he went from sitting up to rolling forward to hands and knees like he was going to take off. He would not do it on the floor, but man--he is close. It's a little scary! You can tell he is just dying to move around though.

He has also learned to "click" with his tongue. Or "cluck". Whatever the right word is. He worked at it forever while watching us intently. One day it just clicked -- pun intended -- and now he does it constantly. It is especially cute to see him jumping in his jumperoo, clicking away.
