Launch of the ExerSaucer

We had a happy weekend. Charlie got to play in his ExerSaucer for the first time, and he loved it! It must have been sensory overload for him. He is really starting to discover his hands now and it is amazing to watch...he is slowly starting to figure out that he can control them and it's great to see the light bulb come on when he hits something and sees what happens. He isn't all the way there yet, but he is definitely making progress. Although, he seems to have forgotten how to roll over again. :(

He loves all his toys, so here are some pictures of a happy Charlie playing with various things!

We have also transitioned to doing bathtime in the big tub with Daddy. He loves it!!! He has learned to kick and splash with his legs. We have started doing a nightly bath to help get him into a sleep routine...which, by the way, has not been going so well lately. He is only sleeping about 4 hours at a time and hasn't slept through the night in quite a while. Last night was particularly bad. Sometimes he wakes up hungry and other times he just seems to be wide awake for no apparent reason. We are hoping it's just a growth spurt and that he'll go back to sleeping longer soon! (he has gained 10 oz in the past 3-4 days!!!) The small amount of rice cereal does not appear to be doing much yet, either in terms of curbing hunger or sleeping better. Hmmm....

I also wanted to mention that our Foundation is actively seeking runners, walkers, and volunteers for the Hogeye Marathon on April 1. Email me or post a comment if you would like to get involved!

And here are just some random shots of him since I always seem to post his smiley pics!
