Unfortunately Halloween brought some trickery to our house this year--in the form of a mystery illness! Here's how the week has gone...last weekend Charlie appeared to be back to normal, finally. He went to school on Tuesday for the first time in 2 weeks, feeling great. We got home at noon on Tuesday and I noticed a runny nose. By 2 PM, he had 104 degree fever and was truly miserable. The fever has been up and down since then, spiking to nearly 105 early this morning. The doctor thinks it's just a virus because he is eating fine and has no other apparent problems. UNTIL NOW...
...tonight after his bath, we noticed some bumps on one arm. They had appeared out of nowhere because they weren't there during his bath. They honestly look like large mosquito bites, big white bumps with red around the skin. He didn't seem to notice them and they were only on one arm. So...now we have no idea what's going on, or if it's even related. Maybe they are hives due to the virus. Stay tuned...
Because of his fever, we decided to keep him away from any other small kids on Halloween. We had planned for Charlie, Gage, and Sam to all dress as monkeys and get pictures made and then trick or treat at the mall. I was so pumped about the 3 little monkeys!! But, it was not meant to be. However, Charlie did feel good yesterday evening so we dressed him up and took him to a couple of friends' houses (who did not have small children). Just so we can say he got to trick or treat a little! Enjoy the pictures!
