seat for the first time because he is really holding his head up now! It makes him look all grown up!!!We have made a lot of progress in the sleep department. Believe it or not, he has slept in his crib almost completely the last few nights! We still have to do things just so, by heating up his mattress and swaddling him at just the right moment between too awake and too asleep. But it is
working! He doesn't sleep quite as long in the crib as he does with us, maybe 2-3 hours at a time rather than 4-5 hours, but we'll take it in order to stretch out in bed and actually get some free time at night. We are slowly, slowly working toward a routine, althoug
h he still has
a definite will of his own at times. I figure that won't ever change!
We had to go through his closet again and put away some more of his newborn-sized clothes. He continues to gain weight at a normal pace now
. He is right at 10 lbs. It is so amazing how much he has gained in the last couple of weeks! He just keeps getting fatter and fatter. I love it.Please keep a few of our good friends in your prayers this week. My friend Sarah just had a beautiful baby girl, Lily, last week, and two other friends are due any day now. Lots of new little playmates for Charlie coming into the world!
And now for my very favorite picture of the week. All you Hog fans, notice he has already learned--all on his own--how to do the "Horns down" sign!!! Way to go Charlie!

Ah, the Bumbo! Isn't that a wonderful invention? L loved hers because it gave her a chance to sit up straight like a big girl!
I just looked at his newborn pic on my computer and just cannot believe that he is such a big boy.
You are so blessed!
P.S. I LOVE the sweet pic of Jack on the wall - and it looks like you've been shopping at Gymboree with the little raccoon outfit? Dangerous place for me to go! SUCH CUTE STUFF!
Angie, thanks so much for this site. It's so wonderful to be able to watch Charlie grow and change.
