Milestones and Playtime

Charlie looks like such the big brother in this picture!

I have lots and lots of pictures, but not enough time tonight to post them all. So I will just do a few.

Henry has not slowed down in his quest for mobility. It is amazing how he has changed in just two weeks. On his 8 month birthday (Dec 30), he crawled the "right" way for the very first time and it was very tentative. Now, two weeks later, he is crawling all over the place with ease, pulling up on everything in sight, and even cruising a little around the furniture! We bought him a toy for Christmas that encourages pulling up, and it seems to be a hit because he is always hanging on it and making it play songs. Now he can go from the toy to the coffee table fairly easily, and he is so proud of himself!

Tonight we were watching Henry do his thing and apparently Charlie was jealous, because at one point we said "Look, Charlie, Henry is walking!" and Charlie just said, "Charlie walk too!" and proceeded to march all over the room very deliberately.

James was teasing Charlie tonight and called him a "hot shot", a phrase Charlie picked up on immediately. Suddenly he said, "Hi, hot Mama!" and it just cracked us up. So he repeated it a few times (knowing it was funny), then tried "Hi, hot Daddy!" and he quickly saw that was not the same response. So the rest of night he kept saying "Hi, hot Mama!" and laughing. It's pretty funny.

Both boys are feeling much better now so we are relieved. Sleep has returned, at least for now. Although Henry is going through a stage where he pulls up in his crib and gets stuck, screaming until we come lay him back down, and that is frustrating. But today it seemed he is able to get back down a little more easily, so maybe that part is almost over. Fingers crossed.

Final pic for tonight: here is Charlie feeding Henry for the first time. If we can keep him from jamming the spoon in his face, it's actually quite precious.

It's unbelievable how much these two change in 2 weeks. They are getting so big, and if possible, more handsome everyday.
