Puffs

A conversation just a few minutes ago:

Charlie: Snack Mama! Eat! [this after he had a huge snack at 3 PM]
Me: You don't really need another snack.
Charlie: Pweeeeeeeeeease!? Puffs!!!! Boo-berries! Eat!
Me: OK, you can have a snack, but you can't have puffs. They are Henry's. They are baby food. You need big-boy food! Blueberries are big-boy food, so you can have that.
[after a joint snack, Henry scarfing down puffs, Charlie scarfing down a bowl of blueberries]
Charlie: Mama? ONE PUFF?
Me: [laughing] OK, Charlie, you can have one single baby puff....

Maybe this isn't funny to anyone else but it cracked me up that after all that, he bargained with me for "just one puff". He's very big into that lately. You can tell him no and he'll say "One more time?". Or he wants you to sit down and play, and you say no, and he'll say "One minute?". It is so sweet you almost cannot resist!!!

I think it's very funny! I'm always amazed at how sly these kids are...Sam will say "how about just a little bit" when he wants something that I have told him he can't have.
